Vol. 3 contains the upper part of all pieces and a part called ”basso” - in reality a second viol part - of n° 137-140, both in tablature. Vol. 4 contains a figured bass part of n° 125-128, an unnumbered bass part of n° 133-134, and once more the second viol part of n° 137-140, all in staff notation. Vol. 2 contains once more the upper part of n° 137-138, in tablature.
Consequently, n°125-128 are to be considered pieces for viol and b.c, n° 133-134 and 137-140 for two viols.
All pieces are for normal ffeff tuning.
