20 pieces in tablature
D-Kl ms. Kat. Israel Anh. 8
Of each piece, there is a textual incipit and a single tablature line that has the character of a bass line; it could therefore be an accompaniment part for vocal arias. The manuscript contains no instrumental indications and the part offers no idiomatic elements, but the intention to the viol of these bass lines seems the most credible option.
Some of the textual incipits are found in a poem by the actor and poet François Passerat, Oeuvre de monsieur Passerat, Bruxelles, De Backer, and Den Haag, Bulderen, both 1695.
