143 pièces for bass viol solo
F-TNm ms. M.3
Concordances of single pieces in F-Pn Res.Vma.ms. 866 (for 2 viols) and GB-En ms. 9468 / 9469 Panmure; D-Kl 4° mus. 108.7 (1 Sarabande, fol. 89v and 90r; in tablature).
Minkoff, Güntersberg
The manuscript is anonymous, the attribution to Sainte-Colombe is based on the relationship with the manuscripts F-Pn Res.Vma.ms. 866 and GB-En ms. 9468 / 9469 Panmure.
The manuscript is the work of a single copyist, with the exception of 10 pieces written by a different hand and stylistically dissimilar (ff. 27v-30r, f. 51r, f. 57v). The first piece on f. 57v is identical to the Gigue à l'angloise from Book II by Marin Marais; the other pieces are to be considered anonymous (see there).
