In the score the indication “Viol di Gamb:” is deleted and replaced by “Traversa”. The range of the part and the presence of some chord reveil the original intention to the viol.
The separate part for “Viol di Gamb.” is found in the Viola partbook.
In a second set of score and partbooks the viola da gamba is not mentioned; in a separate “Flauto Traverso” part - but not in the score - the part is in treble clef, even if keeping the chords.
