The index of the facsimile edition (Tree edition, Tim Crawford and François-Pierre Goy) proposes an association with Ambrosius Scherle, violist active at the Berlin court 1621-1646. In this case the piece signed «Amb.» at ff. 80v-81r of the same ms. could be by the same composer.
