The pieces are for a normally tuned viol except the VI string lowered to C.
The manuscript, moreover, contains transcriptions for viol of 2 Cibells, one by Jean-Baptiste Lully and one by Henry Purcell (see there), both found also in GB-Cfm Mu.ms. 647.
