We only know the book from Marin Mersenne’s mention of it in Harmonicorum instrumentorum, Paris, Baudry, 1636/1648, Liber Primus, Propositio XVII, Corollarium, p. 24.
François-Joseph Fetis in his Biographie Universelle des Musiciens, Bruxelles, Meline, Cans, 1837, p. 185 (also second edition, Paris, Didot, 1883, vol. I, p. 404), entry «Bianchi (Christophe)», gives 1650 as the date of publication, which is evidently incorrect because he cites the same book by Mersenne as the source.
