Unlike the other sonatas in this collection, which were probably transcribed from sonatas for violin and bass (see Leclair, Somis, Corelli, Senaille, Benda, Montenari, Mascitti), here we can assume that they were originally written for two equal instruments.
Some of the sonatas bear a number of poorly decipherable attributions ( del Sig. Frant…, de Mareti or Moreti ), all deleted.
