In the Viennese manuscript the mass bears the title Missa Sancti Pauli. The manuscript in Dresden is an arrangement by Jan Dismas Zelenka, with the title Missa Mirabilium Dei. The musical substance of the aria with viola da gamba conforms in the two copies, but Zelenka added the instructions “Senza Bassi Ripi:” and “Solo è piano” to the basso continuo, and expanded its numbering.
