The composition is known from the list of scores acquired by Johannes Kleinknecht on behalf of the Collegium Musicum in Ulm in the years 1725/26. The document is preserved in the Stadtarchiv Ulm, A [1995], 62 and published by Ulrich Schmid in Krause-Pichler, Adelheid, Jakob Friedrich Kleinknecht (1722-1794).
